Over 1.5 goals

Over 1.5 goals: Two or more goals in the match

Over 1.5 goals is a totals bet on the whole match. It wins when the two teams score two goals or more between them. One-nil, nil-one, and nil-nil all lose. One-one, two-nil, and any higher score win.

The .5 in the line means there is no push. The bet either wins or loses. Own goals count in the total. Goals in extra time do not count in a normal league match, because the market is full time.

On this list, the published tip is over 1.5. The row is not an over-2.5 tip and it is not a both-teams-to-score tip. A match can finish two-nil and win over 1.5 while losing a both-teams bet. Read the market you are actually using.

Two goals is a low bar in many leagues and a live question in leagues that sit deep. The list does not adjust itself for the league. You still have to know whether these two teams have been producing matches with goals or matches that stay at nil or one.

A single early goal does not settle over 1.5. You need a second goal. A match that is one-nil after an hour is still a losing position for this bet until another goal arrives. Do not assume the second goal from the first one.

Team news matters more than the label. A side that rests its forwards, or a match played in heavy rain with a weakened attack, can be a one-goal game even if the names on the list look attacking on paper.

The price on over 1.5 is often short, because two goals is common. A short price means a small return. There is no point staking more to make a short price feel worthwhile. Use a fixed stake, or skip the row when the return is too small for the chance you see of a one-goal game.
