Over 2.5 goals

Over 2.5 goals wins when the match produces three goals or more. Two-one, three-nil, and two-two all win. One-one, two-nil, and one-nil lose. The total is both teams added together.
This is a stricter line than over 1.5. A match with exactly two goals is a winner on 1.5 and a loser on 2.5. If you follow both lists, do not treat them as the same tip copied onto two pages.
A row on the over-2.5 page means the published selection is that totals line. It says nothing about which team scores the goals. A three-nil home win and a two-one away win are the same result for this bet.
Look at how these sides have been playing, using the meetings and the table stored on the match page. A pair of teams that have been drawing one-one is a different picture from a pair that has been trading two-one scorelines. A handful of old matches is only a sample.
Game state changes the total. A team that leads by two goals early may slow the match. A team that needs a goal late may open the game. The tip cannot know the state of play in advance, so an over-2.5 note is a view of the match before it starts, not a live bet.
Do not chase the line because a famous league scores a lot. The bet is this fixture. Cup matches, derbies, and teams with nothing to play for can finish with fewer goals than the league's usual afternoon.
Compare the price with the chance you give a match of three or more goals. Stake a fixed unit if you still want it after the lineup check. Leave it if a key forward is out and your chance has dropped below the price.
